Léan Boezaart joins LMG Golf

We are delighted to welcome Léan Boezaart to LMG Golf.

Lean brings an exceptional passion for the game of golf, combined with a strong entrepreneurial and leadership background. As the co-founder of Freedom of Movement in 2013, he played an instrumental role in building the brand into one of South Africa’s most recognisable lifestyle businesses. He served as CEO through to December 2025, guiding the company’s growth with vision, discipline and purpose.

Lean’s experience in brand building, leadership and strategic growth, together with his deep love and knowledge for golf, makes him a valuable addition to the LMG team. Lean qualified for the SA Open as an amateur in 2011, Represented Gauteng North and Western Province and played on the Sunshine Tour for 2 years. We look forward to the energy, insight and mentorship he will bring to our players and partners.

Importantly, Lean’s connection to LMG runs deeper than business. He shared a long-standing friendship and many rounds of golf with our late Head of Golf, Phil Gerber. It was through Lean that we first connected with Phil — a relationship that would become instrumental in shaping LMG Golf.

In many ways, Lean’s joining feels like a continuation of that legacy. His love for the game, his belief in people, and his commitment to building with purpose reflect the values Phil stood for.
